I am back in Switzerland more than one week ago and also back to work.

I just wanted to thank you very much for your friendly host in your amazing lodge! I will highly recommend Mungumby Lodge to everyone who is travelling to Australia’s tropical north. This was a wonderful experience I will never forget. Thank you Hamish for taking us to your interesting tour to see turtle rock and all the other beautiful places. Your knowledge is unbelievable. By the way, I yesterday met the Imbach’s (some of my VIP clients) who were absolutely delighted from the Mungumby Lodge and from you guys. Same as me J. Thank you Dave for cooking for us as a award winning top chef and giving me this beautiful snakeskin. It was always a pleasure to talk to you in the quiet evenings. Thank you Isabella for the beautiful breakfast you prepared for us every morning.

I will always look back to this stay with a proudly smile, because meeting guys like you I will ever keep in mind. Thank you for making my stay so special. Of course I will do my best to sell your lodge as often as I can to support you the best possible way.

Could there be a more restful place anywhere?
Hamish is a good host and showed us such a diversity of country, from rainforest to the rocky outcrops and Aboriginal Paintings on rock; and such magnificent rocky outcrops; and what seemed outback roads - 6 creek crossings and some low bridges. I love Australia, and I have now seen another part to savour. Thanks Hamish, Isabella, David etc. It's a unique retreat.

We loved being in "your" Rainforest. Spending the nights here after a delicious dinner is an experience we will not forget!

Thank you for the interesting tours (you really know a lot about the nature, surroundings, inhabitants and the history)
The kids loved the "aboriginal" painting and will show their friends at home! Thijs would have loved to spend more time Elliot (speaking with their hands & feet, enjoyable to see) and Sophie would have loved caring for the horses with Janice but time flies.... even in these quiet, relaxed surroundings!

Expectations become true and more. What a lovely place you have here. You've made our third stage of our Aussie trip an unforgettable one. We really feel like we have experienced the old rainforest. Thanks for adding to our knowledge and filling the gaps in it. Knowing a lott is a start, but knowing how to get it across with such enthusiasm and open mind ness is really something else. We've enjoyed the walks as much as your hospitality and the beautifull rooms. Amd of course we've appreciated the wonderful tasty dinners we were served.
I hope to enjoy your chocolate date cake with butterscotch at home again.

We spent a week at Mungumby for our honeymoon in October 2006. We had such a wonderful time and wanted to thank you both for helping us have such a fabulous start to our married life. What an amazing experience this place is. Just awesome, Ash and I have both learnt and seen so much, it truly is a unique part of the country and we were lucky enough to have such a good and knowledgeable tour guide, thanks Hamish.
Mungumby Lodge is the perfect Honeymoon destination, its peaceful, isolated & the friendly staff made it. Just perfect, not to mention the food. Best honeymoon I've ever had...ha, ha, ha,. Hopefully the only one!

Nie haben wir den Weg in den Norden Queensland gefunden. Doch diesmal in 2011, da ist es uns wirklich gelungen. Fuehrte der Weg auch ueber Stock und Stein, der Einstieg konnte nicht besser sein. Hier in der Mungumby Lodge sofort auf Du und Du. Es war wie eine Familie und wir gehoerten dazu. Isabella und Debra versorgten uns liebevoll. Fuer Auge und Magen war das Essen wirklich toll. Die Huette, Dusche und das Bett machten das Wohlfuehlen komplett. Auch unsere Touren moechten wir nicht missen. Dank Hamish's umfangreichem Wissen. Wir waren ja auf vieles gefasst, aber hier hat einfach alles gepasst.

Liebes Team, liebe Leser

Nachdem alle Leute diese Lodge Hochpreisen, moechte ich mich nur ungern anschliessen, aber ich muss es einfach:
Wir hatten einen sehr entspannenden Aufenthalt und schaetzen besonders die sehr persoenliche und angenehme Beziehung zu Hamish, Isabella, David, Franz und natuerlich Maedi. Wir haben versucht diese wunderbar frische Luft des Urwaldes zu speichern um uns dann wieder auf unser Stadtleben vorzubereiten. :-(
Ich empfehle jedem, einen Ausflug zu den fantastischen Straenden des "Archer Point" zu machen und sich die Bloonfield Wasserfaelle anzuschauen.

Danke liebes Team fuer diese wundervolle Zeit!

Hier ist alles perfekt, Menschen und Natur im Einklang. Das muss also die Vorstufe zum "Garten Eden" sein.
Wir schaetzen die Liebe zum Detail, die wir hier entdecken konnten. Auf den ersten Blick kann man sehen, dass mit viel Liebe und Aufwand die Anlage gepflegt wird.
Wir werden dieses Paradies auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Absolutely loved it here with the beautiful rainforest and walks to the creek & waterfall with Maddy, our trusty guide! Cabins very comfy and staff very friendly. Hope to come back next year for my niece's wedding.
